Chasers Poker Room (New Hampshire) Review

Chasers Poker Room, located in the small town of Salem, New Hampshire, is a quaint poker room that is great for players in Boston and New Hampshire.

I am from the area, so it is my casino of choice when I want to play small stakes cash games. I consider it to be the best New Hampshire poker room.

Chasers has 16 tables that run from noon to 1 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekend nights. The action is consistent, though there has been less traffic in the room due to the opening of MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor about an hour away.

In addition to the new casinos in Massachusetts, Chasers’ faces competition from other card rooms in New Hampshire like The Poker Room in Hampton and The New Seabrook Park in Seabrook. While it has less tables than the competition, I have found that it has the cleanest room and best staff.

Chasers Poker Room cam be found at 7 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Salem, New Hampshire.

Chasers Poker Room Cash Games

Chasers Poker Room offers some of the best cash games for New Hampshire poker players. On weekday afternoons, the room usually only offers $1/$2 and $2/$5 No-Limit Hold’Em. But on nights and weekends, the stakes go up and more game choices are available. I am more of a No-Limit Hold’Em player, but I have heard the $5/$10 NLH / PLO mix is one of the juiciest games in the area when it runs.

Cash Games that always run:

  • $1/$2 No Limit Texas Hold’Em
  • $2/$5 No Limit Texas Hold’Em

Cash games that run sometimes or upon demand:

  • $3/$6 Limit Hold’Em
  • $1/$3 Pot Limit Omaha
  • $2/$5 No Limit Hold’Em / Pot Limit Hold’Em Mix
  • $5/$10 No Limit Hold’Em
  • $5/$10 No Limit Hold’Em / Pot Limit Hold’Em Mix

To attract players to the room, Chasers offers some of the best high hands and jackpot promotions in the area. The size of the promotions depends on the season, so for the most up to date numbers be sure to check out the Chasers Poker Room website.

Poker Tournaments

Chasers Poker Room does not offer tournaments at this time.

Chasers Poker Room Amenities

The room offers comps of $0.50/hour that can be spent in the casino. In addition to this, I can confidently say that I have never played in a card room that offers better tableside food. The food gets delivered from a diner next door and I have heard nothing but positive things about it. Chasers also has cocktail services and televisions tuned in to local sports games and horse racing. Unfortunately, the drinks are not free.

The Bottom Line

For New Hampshire poker players, Chasers Poker Room is a great option to play poker and is worthy of a four star rating. It is located far enough away from the city that the traffic isn’t too bad, and there is consistent action for cash games.

You can play a variety of small stakes, and the high hand / jackpot promotions keep the cash games filled throughout the day. The biggest knock against Chasers is the lack of tournaments and high stakes action, but everything else about the room is solid.
