Alex is a legendary cash game pro who was first introduced to poker when he watched it on TV.

After playing around with play money, Alex deposited a small amount of money on a few poker sites and never looked back. He started with sit-n-goes and MTTs with buy-ins up to $5.

Within a couple of years, Alex had switched to cash games and grown his bankroll to over $100,000. That was around when he discovered what would be his bread and butter: heads-up cash games. He tried out $5/$10 heads-up tables and quickly realized that not only were heads-up tables more lucrative, they were also more fun.

After almost a decade of dominating heads-up games, Alex turned his attention back to 6-max cash games. He is up $4,580,733 in publicly tracked games on PokerStars and Full Tilt alone.

Alex hasn't been playing much poker in recent years, but he returned to the spotlight when he created the Advanced Cash Game Strategy course here on Upswing Poker.
