Sim Explorer

In addition to the practice drills and leaderboard drills, Lucid Poker includes the Sim Explorer, which allows you to explore full solver solutions for any spot that you can set up within Lucid.

If you can build a drill around a particular spot, you can explore the solver solutions for your entire range in that spot.

For example, let’s say you open the Sim Explorer and want to look at BTN vs BB in a single raised pot. The setup for that spot in the Sim Explorer looks like this:

The setup actions for the Sim Explorer are at the bottom left of the screen. If we want to see BTN vs. BB in a single-raised pot, we have all positions acting before the BTN fold. The screenshot above shows the solver-based BTN preflop opening range used in all drills on Lucid Poker.

We click “Raise 2.5” for the BTN, make the SB fold, and see the BB reaction to the BTN:

After confirming the BB preflop action, choose any flop. You then will then see how the BB should play that flop according to the solver.

Let’s choose an A-K-5 with two diamonds flop. The BB is supposed to check 100% of the time on this board. We make the BB check, and then see the BTN c-bet strategy:

The Sim Explorer puts solver outputs at your fingertips within Lucid Poker. You can use the Sim Explorer to study any preflop spot or any heads-up postflop spot.

You can click the “Create drill from here” to play a drill based on a spot you’ve set up in the Sim Explorer.
