Leaderboard Drills

The Leaderboard drills on Lucid allow to you compete for high scores with all other Lucid Poker users. The setup for leaderboard drills is nearly identical to the practice drills, but with a few key differences.

The time bank isn’t just for show in the Leaderboard drills. If your timer goes down to zero, your hand is folded (or checked if there’s no bet). Unless the correct action in your given situation was to fold, timing out will negatively impact your score.

The RNG (the number that appears above the time bank) also factors into your score. By default, high numbers on the RNG equal more aggressive actions, so if you see a very high number and you think an action is even a small-frequency bet, go for the bet to ensure you get the highest possible score.

Note: You can adjust the RNG so low numbers equal the more aggressive actions in ⚙️Settings.

The Leaderboard drills cover random spots, and you can’t set up the game to cover one particular spot like you can in the practice drills. For instance, if you play the Heads-Up Leaderboard, be ready to play both 100BB and 200BB spots.

When you’re playing Leaderboard drills, make sure you choose the “Sit out next hand” option before you close out, so you don’t lose points for closing the window while a hand is still active.

The scoring formula for the Leaderboard drills use a combination of EV loss and frequency accuracy (how close you were to the correct frequency based on the RNG). Here is the current formula:

Score = (pot / starting effective stack) * accuracyif (score == 0)
EV loss / starting effective stack

Once you've played Leaderboard drills, check how your score compares to other Lucid members on the previous screen.

You can set a custom username that will appear on the leaderboard in ⚙️Settings.

Good luck chasing that top spot!
