Cardle
The Daily Cardle quiz is the most popular feature within the Lucid Poker Trainer.
The Cardle allows you to play different situations that have been hand-picked by our team of pros. For each decision you make in the quiz, you’ll see an accompanying explanation so you can really understand the “why” behind a Lucid strategy.
The main menu for Cardle looks like this:
The calendar at the top right allows you to select any Cardle quiz from any day, going back to May 2024. Clicking a date in the calendar brings up the Cardlle for that day.
The topic for a particular Cardle appears in the middle of the screen when you click on a date. Click the green “Play Quiz” button to start the quiz. Your overall Cardle statistics appear above the calendar.
Let’s dive into the October 13, 2024 quiz, written by Upswing Poker VP Mike Brady and titled “Tourney Hands That Haunt Me.”
Clicking on that quiz brings us to the introduction and the first question in the quiz:
In this question, Mike opens from the Button with Pocket Kings, and the Small Blind 3-bets to 8.8. The effective stack is 50 big blinds.
What’s the best decision here? Your choices appear on the bottom right of the screen:
You can fold, call, raise to 20.24 or raise all-in to 49.875. Mike chooses to call. Did he make the right choice? Yes!
Whether you click the correct answer or an incorrect choice, the explanation appears, and it’s usually pretty in-depth:
Just below the explanation, you’ll often see tabs for related concepts appear. Click on this tab (for example the “RNG Guide to Mixed Strategies tab that appears in the screenshot above) and it will open a relevant strategy article from Upswing Poker.
After reading the explanation, you also have the option to open the situation in the Lucid Sim Brower by clicking the Open in Browser button that appears on the bottom right:
When you’re ready to move on to the next hand, click the green Next Hand button that’s next to the Open in Browser button.
Each quiz has five questions, and remember to log into Lucid every day to play Cardle and keep your streak alive!
