What is 8-Game in Poker?

8-game, or 8-game mix is a popular tournament and cash game poker format in which the game type changes every orbit. Typically 8-game mix will include the following games: 2-7 Triple Draw, Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Razz, Seven Card Stud, Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better, No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha.

One of the most prestigious 8-game tournaments is the WSOP $1,500 8-game mix, played every summer in Las Vegas. In 2023, Shaun Deeb captured his 6th bracelet by taking home first prize in this event for a whopping $198,854!
