Upswing’s New Poker Strategy Advisor Won $1M+ Playing Cash Games

Doug Polk calls him “the greatest poker mind I’ve ever met.”

And that’s why Upswing Poker has hired Fabian “Frabb” Adler to take on the role of Poker Strategy Advisor.

Frabb is a pro who has largely stayed out of the limelight, opting to avoid taking shots at nosebleed stakes in favor of mid-high stakes games, which offer lower variance.

(In fact, Frabb’s only high-profile moment was when Doug Polk announced Frabb was coaching him in preparation for the heads-up grudge match versus Daniel Negreanu.)

The low variance approach worked well for @frabbxd. Here’s his graph on tracked sites:

Frabb has won $907,270 on tracked poker sites in this 1.4 million hand sample. His luck-adjusted winnings are just over $1 million.

Playing no higher than $50/$100, Frabb has netted $907,270 and won at a rate of 7.45 big blinds per 100 hands. If you add Frabb’s winning on sites that don’t have text hand histories (and thus can’t be imported into PokerTracker), his winnings far surpass the $1 million mark.

As Poker Strategy Advisor, Frabb will support Upswing coaches and staff in their efforts to make highly valuable content for members — whether it be free articles and podcasts or premium training videos.

Frabb will also be creating some content to help players get better. He’s already started writing weekly quizzes for Upswing Lab members (which can be found in the members-only Facebook group). He’ll also be creating a Lab module covering deep stack cash game strategy later in 2023.

That’s not all Frabb will be working on this year. He’ll play a key role in two major releases on Upswing Poker in 2023, but that’s an announcement for another day.
