What is Straddle in Poker?
A straddle is an extra bet placed before any cards are dealt where the person straddling usually closes the preflop action. Most commonly, a poker straddle is twice the big blind and made by the player under the gun. Some casinos permit button straddles (Mississippi Straddle) as well.
