What is Rag in Poker?

A rag is a low-value, and presumably worthless, card.

Preflop holdings like 7♠ 2♦, J♦ 3♣ and 8♥ 4♠ are known as rags, as they’re some of the worst preflop hands you can possibly be dealt.
