What is Implied Odds in Poker?

Implied Odds is the amount of money a player expects to win if s/he makes completes his/her draw and makes a strong hand. For example, if you hold T9 on a board of AK3♠ 7♣, you might call an opponent’s bet on the turn based on the implied odds of making a flush on the river and winning a large amount of your opponent’s chips.
