Phil Galfond Set to Return to Poker Life Podcast

Run It Once chief scheduled for Friday as Joey Ingram Twitter News cycle goes into full swing.

High stakes poker pro and Run It Once CEO Phil Galfond will make a much-anticipated return to the Poker Life Podcast this Friday to talk with award-winning host Joey Ingram about his new Draftboard Daily Fantasy Sports website, a recent appearance on PokerGO during PLOMG Week, and perhaps RIO Poker.

The announcement was made Wednesday by GTO Club creator and PokerGO “Major Wager” host Ingram, who has made a return of his own to #PokerTwitter this week to promote The Great Game of Pot Limit Omaha.

Although the potential launch of RIO Poker remains the biggest Phil Galfond story in the minds of many poker enthusiasts, Friday’s segment could focus heavily on Galfond’s new DFS website Draftboard — which caught many in the industry by surprise when the news was released publicly on Wednesday.

Top Joey Ingram Twitter Posts of The Week

Ingram — who is affectionately known as “Papi” or “ChicagoJoey” by his social media and podcast fans — has stayed busy since his Out Of Line antics at the 2017 World Series of Poker. Mr. GTO has been promoting his favorite poker game (Pot Limit Omaha) while joining the cast of PokerGO as the host of a new show called Major Wager.

“PLOMG Week” kicked off Tuesday with the notable absence of high stakes community hibernator Tom Dwan, who no-showed Day 1 of the marquee televised poker event that he was headlining.

Fortunately for viewers, that didn’t stop poker superstars Galfond and Isaac Haxton from putting on a show for fans around the globe Tuesday.

While we’re on the topic of televised poker, Live at the Bike officials will be bringing together some of the world’s Most Entertaining Poker Vloggers next month for its “Streamers Week” series starting October 24th.

Las Vegas rounder Andrew Neeme is slated to compete alongside big name poker streamers Jaime Staples, Tim Watts, Brad Owen and Kai McMinn.

In other news, the Netherlands’ Steven van Zadelhoff took down the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event this week for a $1.6 million payday — then proceeded to take $1,000,000 of it to the micro-stakes Limit Hold’em tables on the world’s largest poker site.

Upswing Poker readers who would like to learn more about Pot Limit Omaha or tag-along with high stakes action can check out Joey’s “Companion Stream” that he did with our in-house PLO expert Fernando Habegger earlier this week.

If that video clip is unavailable in your area, here is a short recap provided by Fernando himself on the @JNandezPoker YouTube channel.

Brazilian Poker continues to soar as the Portuguese-language region shows its affection for all things poker.

However, Joey Ingram has showed some heartfelt concern this week upon witnessing new content on Instagram that begs to question whether wrist support mouse pads are truly available to the general public in Brazil.
