Garrett has spent close to 25 years at the top of the highest-stakes live cash games, building a reputation as one of the most feared players in poker and winning millions along the way. Then came Jack-Four, the most argued-about hand the game has produced. He stepped back from the spotlight to write his memoir, Beneath the Cards, and to build a live cash game course that only he can make.
He lives in Manhattan Beach, California with his wife Jennifer, their two children, and two AmStaff Terriers. Away from the table he runs marathons, hikes, and follows Arizona Wildcats basketball. He has mentored with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles for the past decade.
