What is Stop and Go in Poker?
« View All Poker Terms
Stop and Go is when an out-of-position player calls a raise with the intention of betting after the next card is dealt.
Usually used in tournaments as opposed to cash games. For example, you have AQ in the big blind, with a 12 big blind stack. The button raises to three big blinds, and you call, intending to bet the rest of your chips on the flop no matter what cards come.
