Las Vegas poker rooms offer many options for tournaments, and the biggest challenge for players trying to find a game is sifting through the sheer number of regularly scheduled events, and finding a tournament that suits your preferences.

This guide covers the regularly scheduled tournaments offered at the city’s poker rooms. Let’s take a look at the best poker tournaments in Las Vegas.

Weekly Tournaments

These are the regularly-scheduled weekly Las Vegas poker tournaments from our list that give you the best value for your buy-in, in no particular order:

Wynn/Encore

$230 ($200+30) buy-in, $30,000 guaranteed
Saturdays at Noon

15,000 starting chips, starting blinds 100/100, 40-minute levels, unlimited re-buys available through the first six levels.

The Wynn and Encore properties offer an upscale Las Vegas experience like no other, and the tournament schedule in the 28-table poker room offers some of the best values, lowest rake and biggest guarantees in the city.

The poker room runs a daily tournament at Noon seven days a week, with the best of these coming in the $230 buy-in, $30,000 guaranteed Saturday tournament. With a 37-table poker room, and some of the highest guarantees on the Las Vegas poker tournament schedule, the Venetian poker room consistently draws some of the largest fields for daily Las Vegas poker tournaments.

The regular Venetian schedule includes two daily tournaments at 12:10 p.m. and 6:10 p.m., and the best of these is a $340 buy-in Doublestack tournament that runs on most Saturdays at 12:10 p.m., with a $25,000 guarantee.

Also on the schedule are frequent events in the Venetian DeepStack series, with even bigger guaranteed prize pools. These special recurring events run at different times throughout the year, so be sure to check the link above to see if a DeepStack series is going on when you’re in town.

The Orleans

Fridays at 7:05 p.m.

The Orleans is located just off the Strip on Tropicana Ave. and is home to one of the busiest poker rooms in the city. With 35 tables and poker variants like H.O.R.S.E., PLO, and Omaha 8/Stud 8 in the mix on the tournament schedule, the Orleans is one of the best options in the city to find a low-stakes tournament in the game of your choice.

The highlight of the Orleans schedule is the Friday night $130 buy-in NL Hold’em tournament, with a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool.

South Point

$125 ($100+25) buy-in, $9,000 guaranteed
Sundays at 6 p.m.
15,000 starting chips, 20-minute levels, unlimited re-buys available through the first six levels.

Another gem on the Las Vegas tournament poker scene is South Point, located on the far end of the south Strip. The poker room is home to a 22-table setup, and a tournament schedule featuring plenty of No Limit Hold’em, along with game variants such as Crazy Pineapple and Omaha 8.

One of the higher-guarantee tournaments in the city, a $125 buy-in, $9,000 guaranteed event, runs every Sunday night at 6 p.m.

South Point Poker Room

Golden Nugget

The Orleans 

The Orleans is the premier Las Vegas poker room for mixed-game tournament action. Daily tournaments run at 12:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m., with a variety of games. The entire spread of poker variants offered in tournament format is presented here on the list below.

The Orleans runs eight tournaments on a weekly/daily basis (all No Limit Hold’em unless otherwise noted):

Orleans Poker Room

This legendary cash-game venue runs a daily $130 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament at 2 p.m., seven days a week. Playing a tournament at the Bellagio poker room gives you a great shot at seeing some of your favorite high-stakes pros in their natural habitat.

In addition to it’s legendary cash games, the Bellagio runs daily tournaments, seven days a week, at 2 p.m.

Aria Resort & Casino

The Aria is a Las Vegas poker hotspot, with regularly-occurring high-roller tournaments. Even if you’re not looking to play at the nosebleed stakes, the 24-table poker room has plenty to offer, with a daily schedule of $140 and $240 buy-in tournaments.

The Aria runs one of the best-value daily tournaments in the city, with the $140 buy-in tournament running seven days a week at 7 p.m.

Planet Hollywood’s tournament schedule features five daily events in the 11-table poker room. All Planet Hollywood tournaments feature a guaranteed prize pool, including the Sunday morning $135 buy-in, $7,500 guaranteed event.

Planet Hollywood’s guaranteed prize pools for all daily events, which run nearly around the clock, make a trip to the Strip property well worth it for the tournament poker player.
