Who is Daniel McCaulay? Meet Upswing Poker’s Newest World-Class Coach

The newest addition to the Upswing Poker coaching team has been crushing in the online heads-up streets for years.

Daniel McAulay, aka dougiedan678 on PokerStars, brings his heads-up NL acumen, as well as his experience in 6-max and MTTs, to the Upswing Poker Lab. Daniel will be producing modules and Play & Explains, as well as answering questions in the Upswing Engage Facebook group.

McAulay’s crusher win-rate seen above is over a 450k hands sample in heads-up play on PokerStars. Upswing Lab members can expect to see plenty of heads-up NL strategy content from Daniel in the upcoming months, as well as occasional content for other poker formats.

Daniel’s heads-up prowess over the past decade has earned him a reputation as one of the world’s best. As such he was one of four heads-up specialists brought in to take on “Libratus”, one of the most powerful AI bots ever developed, in a 2017 heads-up poker challenge.
