Squid game, similar to the stand-up game, is a poker variant where the last player to win a hand (get a squid token) has to payout a set amount of money to the other players.

The format promotes action and has big implications on preflop play, as it effectively introduces antes that can be quite big depending on the size of the penalty for being the last player without a squid.
