Doug Polk, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme Become Co-Owners of The Lodge Card Club

Poker in Texas has been growing fast over the past few years, and it’s about to get a whole lot bigger.

Three of poker’s biggest names, Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme, have become co-owners of The Lodge Card Club — the biggest room in the Austin area.

This video sums up why the guys decided to buy a significant stake in a poker room and the plans for the immediate future.

What is The Lodge Card Club?

With 60+ tables, The Lodge Card Club is the biggest poker room in Central Texas.

Due to Texas state law, the club does not take a rake. Membership is required to enter the room, and an access fee of $10 per hour is paid by each player at each table.

The Lodge has a number of amenities that make it a great place to play, including high-quality dealers, 40 big-screen TVs, and charging stations at every poker table.

The Monster Meet Up Week in Late January

To celebrate this huge news, The Lodge is hosting a huge event at the end of January called The Monster Meet Up Week.

From January 24th to January 30th, there will be daily events at The Lodge that no poker player will want to miss. This culminates in the largest monthly poker tournament in the world: The Monthly Monster — a $600 buy-in, $500K guaranteed tournament with 8 starting flights and unlimited re-entries.

Here’s the full schedule for the week:

This really is just the beginning of what’s coming up at The Lodge. Our team hopes to see you there at the end of January.
