Daniel did not agree to show hole cards for the challenge, which is understandable because it likely hurts his expected value. (Doug could review Daniel's hands and formulate counter-strategies, which is something Doug is particular experienced in doing.)
At the 12,500 hand mark, the player who is losing has the option to quit or continue playing. One they decide to continue playing, they must complete the full 25,000 hands.
The players have cameras with 360 degree views in the rooms in which they're playing. The footage is uploaded to a third-party server that neither player has immediate access to (so they can't peak in on each other during the match or anything like that).
