Ya’ boy Doug finishes runner-up for $468,000.
The Aria Resort & Casino Las Vegas was the site of another poker high roller triumph Sunday as Brandon Adams of Louisiana captured a victory in the $50,000 buy-in Poker Masters Event #4 and took home $819,000 USD.
Adams, who has received $1.6 million from his three high stakes event cashes in 2017, outlasted a talent-filled final table roster Sunday afternoon that included our very own Doug Polk — who finished in second place for a cash prize of $468,000.

The high stakes preliminary victory places Adams in healthy contention to become the first-ever Poker Master, with the $100,000 buy-in Main Event starting Monday afternoon at 2:00 local Vegas time.
The tournament series is being live streamed as part of a premium subscription service offered by PokerGO via Poker Central.
Three-time WSOP bracelet winner and 2017 High Roller for One Drop champion Doug Polk finished second in Poker Masters Event #4 and collected $468,000 in consolation cash.
The score ensures Doug’s Giveaway Fans will have even more to cheer about this month when the Twitch and YouTube live stream MTT record owner hosts his official drawing to award a minimum four figures in USD cash to at least one lucky winner.
There is a reasonably good chance that the Purple Jacket winner will be decided during the Final Table of the 2017 Poker Masters Main Event — to be broadcast live on PokerGO Wednesday. Although the community will not have official entry numbers for a few more hours, cash prizes awarded during the four preliminary events that played out last week could very well play a major role in determining who eventually dons the luxury-wear.
The outcome will be decided by the individual who is has the highest cash total over all five events.
Following is a screen grab of the current leaderboard standings from PokerNews. The list can be viewed viewed in its entirety in the Full Recap referenced near the top of this page.
You can tune-in to the coverage live (with a short stream delay) exclusively at PokerGO.com ($10/month, $99/year).
Yes, that is possible. However, it is also dependent on a number of factors that may not make themselves clear until late Wednesday during the Final Table.
All Poker Masters cast members who do not make the September 20th telecast (with the exception of Steffen Sontheimer) will be automatically eliminated from contention to receive the title of 2017 Poker Masters Champion.
Follow along with all the action as Doug continues his quest for the Purple Jacket this Monday at 2:00pm Pacific Time. SOCIAL MEDIA CONSIDERATION: @badams78, @DougPolkPoker, @UpswingPoker, @Joeingram1, @PokerNews, @PokerCentral, @PokerGO, @ARIAPoker
